Life jackets are provided for all guests and must be worn as instructed by Leitrim Quay staff.

Fuel is included in your day boat rental, so you can enjoy your time on the River Shannon without needing to arrange this separately.

Our team will explain the rules of the river and provide guidance on recommended routes, places to stop, and suitable directions depending on weather and river conditions.

Food and drinks
Guests are welcome to bring their own food, snacks, and drinks for the journey.
Personal belongings
Any personal items such as clothing, phones, cameras, fishing gear, or recreational equipment should be brought by guests at their own risk.
Additional activities
Costs associated with optional activities, such as fishing permits, licences, or guided tours, are not included in the day boat rental.
Transportation to and from Leitrim Quay
Guests are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from Leitrim Quay Marina.
Damage to the boat or equipment
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the boat, engine, life jackets, keys, or other equipment during the rental period. Additional charges will apply where damage occurs.
Call-outs or assistance due to guest error
Additional charges will apply if Leitrim Quay staff or another support service is required to attend due to guest error, misuse of the boat, running aground, failure to follow instructions, lost keys, avoidable breakdowns, or other issues caused during the rental period.
Guests are asked to follow all safety instructions and return the boat in the same condition it was provided to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience on the River Shannon.
Guests may cancel their day boat booking 24 hours or more before the scheduled booking time to receive a 100% refund of the total booking amount.
Cancellations made fewer than 24 hours before the scheduled booking time are non-refundable.
No-shows or late arrivals
Guests who do not arrive for their booking, or who arrive too late to safely complete the boat handover and rental, will not be eligible for a refund.
Weather and river conditions
Day boat rental operates in normal Irish weather conditions. Guests cannot cancel or request a refund due to rain, cloudy weather, cooler temperatures, or general poor weather conditions.
Bookings will only be cancelled, rescheduled, or refunded due to weather if there is an official weather warning affecting safe boat hire, or if Leitrim Quay determines that it is unsafe for the boat rental to go ahead.
Changes to bookings
Requests to change the date or time of a booking are subject to availability and must be made in advance. Changes requested fewer than 24 hours before the booking time may not always be possible.
